Level III – Skills of the Master Merchant

 

 

 

  • Course Work:  Students are given topical case studies to work through individually and then reviewed with others in the class during weekly on-line meetings.  The final class is a two day on-site workshop held at the WCC Training Center in Kansas City where students fine-tune their skills by working challenging merchandising scenarios related to real-world situations.

 

  • PRE-REQUISITE:  Applicants must have successfully completed the Level I and Level II courses in the Grain Merchant Certification Program and received their “Certificate of Basis Trading Administration” and “Certificate of Basis Management.”  [Previous Grain Merchant Certification can be substituted for Level I & II requirements.]

 

  • Perspective students must also have a minimum of one-year’s experience as an active grain merchant with a working knowledge of trading basis positions and be interviewed and accepted by the program’s Enrollment Committee.

 

  • Class Schedule:  Two sessions offered:  Early 2012 & June 2012 (Exact meeting dates to be announced.)
