Being a part of White Commercial is like being a student in a perpetual continuing-education course. No matter your level of grain merchandising, whether a beginner, mid-life or seasoned (old) grain trader, you will be invited to participate in meetings that provide you with the knowledge, the tools and the input from all the participants to make yourself a better merchandiser.

It is so nice to have an unbiased friend in the grain business. It is great to talk not only to the White Commercial Staff, but also get feedback from the other participants as well.

The single most important decision we have made in the past 20 years of business has been joining the White Commercial Corporation Family. From the beginning teachings that started with my parents, to myself, to our second merchandiser and our office secretary, White Commercial has been there to help us make conscious, methodical decisions that have put us in place to take advantage of great opportunities, all the while managing all risk. I have no doubt that White Commercial is on top when it comes to commodity marketing education, and provides a perfect partner in hedging commodities. We owe a vast majority of our growing success to THE White Commercial Corporation.

I can not say enough about what our association with White Commercial has meant for our bottom line at Mathiesen Grain Company. The staff of WCC have taught us risk management skills and given us the tools to help our farmer customers lock in profits. Even more than that, however, we have grown personally from the relationships we've made with WCC staff and other participants. What a great network of support, ideas and mutual understanding can come from being part of this unique group. Many of us like to call this unique group our 'White Commercial Family.'

By switching our grain merchandising program from a reactive approach to a proactive approach based on basis trading skills learned from White Commercial and our fellow participants, we have been able to significantly increase our volume and margin while at the same time benefiting both our farmer customer and end users.

White Commercial's education program has been so beneficial to us that we are now in the process of adding two 255,680 bushel concrete bins to our collection. It is so exciting I can't stand it. It just proves that a routine practice and discipline work. Thank you White Commercial Staff.

As someone who is relatively new to the grain business, WCC has been extremely helpful with explaining not only the basics of grain merchandising, but also teaching the more extensive, in-depth concepts of basis trading. Anytime I have questions or just want to discuss different ideas and strategies, I know that everybody at WCC is there to give sound advice and guidance. WCC is a very important part of KAMO Grain’s team.

Being new to the industry and having no ag background, I really like the ability to post questions, and I get an immediate response from other WCC participants who have knowledge and experience in the grain industry. I would say 90% of my knowledge gained came from WCC by way of workshops, the e-library, website posts and Brent Rogers. I was skeptical at first when they said 'call us, we will help you', but it is true.

Becoming a WCC participant in 1996 was one of the best business decisions made by our company in the past 30 years. The way the experiences and insight of opportunities are shared between nearly 200 participants in the same industry is awesome. The disciplines and practices taught by WCC are definitely the key to successful grain merchandising!

When I first knew of Don White and White Commercial in the early 1970's I was already familiar with basis trading, having had previous experience in the brokerage business. After much persuasion from my friendly competitor and friend, Scotty McCoy, I signed up after having to sign an agreement not to speculate, which I was not doing anyway. I attended meetings, learned a lot that I didn't know and have never been sorry. However, the most valuable thing I have gained from this relationship is knowing that whenever I have any questions involving grain trading I have the two most knowledgeable people in the business, Don White and John Werner, as my backup.

White Commercial is always a voice of reason for me as a basis trader. They give me strategies and advice that I need to succeed in the elevator business. When everything around me looks like a tragedy they see opportunity. They allow me to keep my eyes on basis opportunities and to keep my farmer customers focused on Profit. All of these things allow me to be more relaxed, more profitable and better help to the farmer.

White Commercial is by far the best hedging company we have ever worked with. Their entire staff is friendly and knowledgeable. If someone doesn't know an answer they find someone who does. The best thing about White Commercial is their training workshops. They are definitely not a waste of time and they are almost the only meetings I attend throughout the year.

White Commercial has taken me from a back to back trader with small margins to a basis trader with potentially larger margins. They have put our operation back in the grain business. Thanks White Commercial Team.
